ACADEMICS
(
Grades will be checked weekly by the coaching staff)

In-Season Academic Policies and Procedures:

1.

- All student-athletes must be in good academic standing, currently enrolled in six classes, all of which must be classified as "solids". All credited classes offered are considered solids.
- The student-athlete must have been enrolled in an educational program the previous semester.
- The student-athlete shall not have received any of the following marks during the previous semester: unsatisfactory "U", conditional "X", incomplete "I", failing "F", withdraw "W", or no credit "N".

2.
Any athlete who falls into the “danger zone” academically during the season by earning a D and/or an F in any class will be required to attend team study table three days per week from 7:30-8:00 in the morning until the grade is improved to a C or better.
3.
During the season, a player who is on academic probation cannot be a team captain or earn game or performance awards.
4.
If a player misses a study table for any reason, he will miss his first series during Friday night’s game. If he misses a second study table, he will not play in one quarter. A third miss will constitute missing an entire game.
Off-Season Academic Policies and Procedures:
1.
Any athlete who falls into the “danger zone” academically by earning a D and/or F grade in any class will be put on academic probation. The players parents will be contacted and a plan developed by the coach and the parents to improve the player’s grades. Study table, tutors and any help necessary will be made available.
2.
In the off-season, a player who is on academic probation cannot be a captain or collect weight room or program performance awards.
